Heitlinger 2016 Point Gris Trocken VDP GG

The "Tiefenbacher Spiegelberg" vineyard is located directly above the wine village of Tiefenbach. A special feature is its south-southeast exposure. The deciduous forest directly above provides shade to the upper part of the vineyard from early afternoon onward. Despite the warm location, the acidity remains stable for a long time. The unique microclimate, combined with the red, iron-rich limestone, produces a Pinot Gris with an unmistakable smoothness, delicate spice, and an almost dusty minerality.
Light copper hue. Ethereal, minty notes. On the palate, apricot, lemon zest, and peach. A distinctive, fruit-forward style with subtle oak influence. Refined with a firm phenolic grip. Delicate, fine acidity. Excellent length.
